Chris Roman
Chris founded Independent Information Technology Consultants in 2020, and is engaged in all aspects of client, partner and vendor engagement.
Chris is a highly productive consultant with 10+ years of diverse experience advising a wide range of organizations. From a consulting perspective, his core strengths are network design, unified communications and contact center design, vendor management, and structured cabling. He is proficient in designing and executing strategies that maximize meaningful engagement, increase revenue, and provide an excellent customer experience.
He attended Temple University and resides in Wyomissing, PA with his wife Ashley, sons John and Connor, and dog Sarge. He is a dreadful golfer, a below-average fisherman, and a liability when it comes to home repair.
Joe McBrearty
Joe has been with Independent IT since its inception. Though involved in all aspects of the business, Joe is primarily focused on strategic business development and client onboarding activities.
Joe has a proven track record of over-delivering on customer expectations in his 10+ year career. He possesses elite-level proficiency in WAN design, unified communications, vendor negotiation and project management. If you are visiting this website, chances are it was Joe who sent you here!
He attended Fairfield University, and now resides in Lansdale, PA with his wife Chris. He is an amateur landscaper (not by choice), an exceedingly average cook, and tries to leave work by 3pm on Fridays.

Rich Knoerzer
With over 20 years of experience in multiple disciplines within information technology including the non-profit, corporate and consulting sectors, Rich has developed a personal framework and a passion to continue expanding his role as a technology leader by aligning people, process, and technology with business objectives.
Some of his non-engineering competencies include relationship management, resourcing and project controls, process improvements, policy development and Rich has extensive experience in performing the advocate role for the organization by serving as a trusted advisor for the mid-market. Rich's personal strengths include excellent analytical abilities, which lends itself to troubleshooting complex problems, both of a business process and technical nature; efficient management of projects and developing the resources that deliver along with highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Rich currently runs a managed service and technology consulting practice within the Philadelphia market with a total of ten team members. He has an impressive track record of rapid promotion due to performance, positive work ethic, and the ability to multitask in high demand environments.
Michael Wasserman
Michael’s extensive experience as an entrepreneur, IT and telecommunications leader, makes him and invaluable member to our team.
Having been raised amid two family businesses, one wholesale and the other retail, Michael Wasserman brings a unique entrepreneurial mindset to Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and Business Management. Having successfully launched, Delaware Valley Dance Academy, Military Supply Company and CPR Consulting, he has also led multiple high-performance sales organizations a 20+ year career in Technology.
With degrees from the University of Nebraska, Michael attributes much of his success to his mid-west upbringing and the unwavering support of wife Lisa and his three daughters.
Andrew Kulp
Andrew comes with a variety of experience in both managed services and virtual private cloud hosting. During his 18+ year career, he has managed a sole proprietorship, been the VP of Managed Services, and offered a global Virtual Private Cloud IaaS.
Managing small to large scale business critical solutions is something Andrew is passionate about but that comes in 2nd place to an impeccable devotion to customer service. Presently Andrew works for a nationally recognized Sage Partner/MSP and specializes in private cloud space for ERP. Though he can assist in a multitude of ways, his primary focus is around delivering the most efficient and highly available cloud solution on the market. His overall experience, covering almost 2 decades, provides him with a wealth of experience and the expertise needed to resolve problems, even when answers prove elusive and difficult to find.
Andrew's focus to deliver unmatched customer service is evidenced by the high marks he receives from clients for helping them resolve issues of all shapes and sizes. Before connecting with Independent Information Technology, Andrew served on a multitude of executive boards ranging from marketing and planning to strategic IT Advancement.
